Changelog

  1. Removed abilities altogether. They felt vestigial at this point.
  2. Added rules for gaining HP upon leveling up (can't believe I forgot this).
  3. Removed move scores, changed to simple "unencumbered" / "encumbered" states.
  4. Added torches as a weapon option (d3 fire damage) to give torchbearers a cool thing to do (pretend to be Aragorn on Weathertop)
  5. Changed bow depletion of arrows to occur on an attack roll of 1.
  6. Removed lanterns and oil to fit tone of implied setting and simplify light rules.
  7. Buffed torches to light 4 people, and candles to 2 people, to compensate for removal of lanterns.
  8. Simplified to only one type of rations.
  9. Buffed healing from cloaks, bedrolls, and tents
  10. Combined adventuring gear into one table.
  11. Added hand cart.
  12. Clarified that hirelings will not enter dungeons.
  13. Clarified that intelligent undead can be reasoned with.
  14. Overhaul of surprise and initiative. Also made it explicit that thieves get their backstab if they have the initiative.
  15. Changed secret door search from 10' x 10' square per turn, to one room per turn.
  16. Made dungeon turns more explicit.
  17. Overhaul of chase rules.
  18. Changed monster damage slightly to suggest Xd6 damage for some monsters.
  19. Added table titles.
